The Master's Degree Programme in Human Neuroscience educates future experts to understand and measure human brain function and performance.

The focus of investigations is on the phenomena of cognition - perception, attention, memory, reasoning, thinking, and behavior - from an interdisciplinary perspective: Anthropology, Artificial Intelligence, Biology, Linguistics, Neuroscience, Philosophy, and Psychology have contributed to its development as core disciplines.

The program promotes excellence and educates students on the significant issues in Neuroscience. The challenging curricula include mandatory taught courses which cover the main aspects of Neuroscience and a number of elective courses enabling students to broaden their knowledge of other relevant fields. The MSc Research or Library Projects on various aspects of Neuroscience are conducted in the state-of-the-art Departments and Clinics of the Cyprus Institute of Neurology and Genetics (CING).

The MSc Microbiology aims to equip students with the advanced knowledge and skills required to embark on further research or employment in industries striving to solve major global challenges such as antibiotic resistance, clean drinking water, and food security.

The Master of Biomedical Sciences: Neurosciences at the University of Antwerp covers the research field from neurogenomics up to behaviour and in vivo brain imaging in both animals and humans.

Biomedical Science is the integrative scientific study of biological issues related to the support of the diagnosis and treatment of various conditions that affect peoples’ quality of life and it is a well-recognised, evidence inform and valued profession that encompasses a holistic and life-span approach to the provision of diagnostic, assessment and intervention.

Nature and nurture: how do they interact and correlate? Is health and wellbeing in our genes or is the environment the most important source of differences between people? And can we use DNA to predict our health? Both twin studies and molecular genetic studies have highlighted the influence of our genetic code on behavior and health. To adequately understand and influence behavior and health, we need to increase our knowledge of the way our genes play their part, by themselves and when interacting with our environment.

This one-year, full-time MSc Cancer Biology and Therapeutics course is designed to provide you with advanced knowledge, understanding and skills in the rapidly advancing field of Cancer Biology and Therapeutics. Our aim is to provide you with a breadth and depth of cancer-focused training that will make you a highly attractive candidate to start or continue a career within the healthcare sector and public/private sector research establishments.

The aim of this programme is to give you a broad-based training in biomedical research, with a focus on cardiovascular science.

You will be trained in scientific research methods and learn the techniques used in molecular biology. You will study the biology of disease, tumour biology, immunology, molecular oncology, haematological malignancy, plus diagnostic and therapeutic techniques for cancer.

The progress of all master's candidates is monitored biannually by the supervisor and the postgraduate coordinator. A candidate's study may be terminated if the progress is unsatisfactory or if the candidate is unable to finish his/her studies during the prescribed period.
