Introduction
The Clinical Nurse Leader concentration strengthens healthcare delivery by teaching the advanced knowledge and skills needed to provide comprehensive, across-the-life-span nursing services to individuals, families, and groups. The online MS-CNL concentration prepares nurse leaders as Advanced Education Nurse Generalists who design, promote, manage and coordinate health promotion, risk reduction, disease prevention, and illness management services to individuals and clinical populations.
The CNL role applies research-based information and efficient and cost-effective use of resources to improve clinical and environmental care outcomes and influence change in health care organizations. Upon completing the program, the graduate is prepared to lead health care teams in a broad range of clinical settings to meet the demands of a complex care delivery system.
