Our team of experienced academics and practitioners focuses on competent management and effective leadership, giving students from both clinical and managerial backgrounds the tools required to deliver service improvement and sustainable change in health and social care settings.
The program is suitable for those working in both clinical and non-clinical roles:
- Those already working as allied health professionals, clinical scientists, nurses, or doctors who wish to pursue managerial opportunities
- Those working within the health and social care or voluntary sector in roles such as commissioning, quality improvement, clinical auditing, or risk management who are looking to take the next step in their career
You will have the opportunity to study with people from a variety of different countries, services, and settings. The program is designed to be as useful as possible to both yourself and your employer; we combine the study and assessment of theory alongside its application within a work setting.

Career Opportunities
Career support
The University is committed to helping students develop and enhance employability and this is an integral part of many programs. Specialist support is available throughout the course from Career and Employability Services including help to find part-time work while studying, placements, vacation work, and graduate vacancies. Students are encouraged to access this support at an early stage and to use the extensive resources on the Careers website.
Discussing options with specialist advisers helps to clarify plans through exploring options and refining skills of job-hunting. In most of our programs, there is direct input by Career Development Advisers into the curriculum or through specially arranged workshops.
