Introduction
This doctoral program offers a space for advanced training in the field of studies on demographic aging and longevity through the scientific perspective of the Social Sciences. In this sense, it is configured as a cycle of studies that aggregates different disciplinary areas, seeking to capitalize on their similarities, but also their differences, in an approach focused on complementarities, which are assumed to be fundamental for understanding a multidimensional phenomenon such as demographic aging and longevity.
It is a study program that will be aligned with the most demanding international practices in the field of advanced training, with the aim of establishing itself as a reference program in the field of aging studies.
In accordance with the regulations, the program will be developed over 3 years, although it is expected that a student, when circumstances allow, can present his thesis after 18 months of permanence in the program. Regardless of the above, as it will appear in the agreement, the applicable regulations of the university in which the student is enrolled must be taken into account.
The UNISF Social Sciences and Aging doctoral program includes transversal and specific training courses and other training activities.
