Introduction
Biomedical Engineering
The Department of Biomedical Engineering at Istanbul Medipol University was established in 2014. Students who successfully complete the department’s 4-year bachelor’s degree program earn the title of Biomedical Engineer. Each year, the department accepts 20 students on full scholarships. The language of instruction is English, and a preparatory language class is mandatory; however, students who demonstrate proficiency in English may begin directly with the main program.
The department’s faculty members bring extensive international experience, having spent many years in research and education abroad.
In addition to technical courses, students can take electives such as “Technology, Society, and Professional Development” and “Innovation and Entrepreneurship,” which help them develop social responsibility and support their personal career growth. In line with the department’s focus on industry-academia collaboration, students are offered a range of distinguished internship opportunities with both local and international companies.
