Introduction
Faculty of Pharmacy, Comenius University Bratislava offers a Master’s Degree Study Programme in Pharmacy in the English language and Ph.D. Degree studies in four pharmacy-related specializations to about 100 international students. The Pharmacy Master Study Programme (combined Bachelor´s & Master´s degree) extends for five years (10 semesters). It leads to the degree of Magister of Pharmacy (Mgr.) or Doctor of Pharmacy (PharmDr.) after passing an additional rigorous thesis defence. The Slovak pharmacist diploma is internationally recognized in all European Union countries and several other states.
Qualification for degree
To graduate, the student must collect 300 credits (ECTS).

Curriculum
The Master´s Degree Study Programme in Pharmacy offers complete theoretical and practical education in pharmacy by teaching subjects including physics, chemistry, biology, medicine, and several specific pharmaceutical disciplines. During the later stages of studies, students grow their professional competence by participating in practical training in public and hospital pharmacies and research institutes. Participation of students in university student exchange and mobility programmes across Europe is strongly encouraged. The academic staff of the Faculty of Pharmacy includes internationally respected lecturers and renowned researchers who regularly participate in transnational research activities at the interface of life and pharmaceutical sciences aiming at developing new therapeutics and diagnostics. Studies at the Faculty of Pharmacy prepare young professionals for successful careers in public or hospital pharmacies, the pharmaceutical industry, biomedical research, academia, and pharmaceutical sales representatives. The Faculty offers outstanding education and promotes students´ personal growth and intellectual development. The Faculty regularly hosts ERASMUS+ exchange students from several European countries.
Program delivery
Campus-based teaching with eventual online activities. Video-recorded lectures are also available from the departmental websites for several subjects.
