Introduction
Arden University’s BSc (Hons) Psychology with Counselling has been designed for those who want to study a degree in psychology and wish to work in counseling after graduation. It gives you eligibility to enroll on the British Psychological Society’s independent route to training as a counseling psychologist and can support applications for a Doctorate in Counselling Psychology or other counseling/wellbeing-related qualifications.
During your degree, you’ll study the major disciplines of psychology, such as social, cognitive, biological, and developmental psychology, and research methods. Alongside this, you’ll cover counseling-specific topics, including counseling psychology, core counseling skills, health and psychological well-being, psychological assessment, and managing the therapeutic process.
The course takes a modern, person-centered approach, helping you develop the right tools and strategies for successfully improving the well-being of others in your future role. We provide our psychology students with access to an extensive and specialized support system to ensure they succeed, including one-to-one support from your tutors and networking opportunities.
