The school has been devoted to cultivating outstanding talents related to personal health. We have invested many talent database and hardware and software regarding medical testing, health care and nutrition, physical treatments and cosmetics.

The school possesses the biggest nursing department and the only department of midwifery. We cultivate all levels of outstanding nurses in southern Taiwan. The students are recruited by all the major hospitals before graduating. This school has the mission to increase nursing qualities and promote the national health welfare.

Nursing college originally from the department of Nursing was established in 1968. The colleges in our university were re-organized and Nursing college was established in 2018. This college includes five departments, department of Nursing, department of Long Term Care and Management, department of Health Care Administration, department of Acupressure Technology and department of Information Management. The common goals in all departments are: medical care, health service and social responsibility.

The college of Medical Technology trains students with practical medical technology and research skills in accordance with the national medical and biotechnological developmental policies. We equip our students with lifetime learning and information management capabilities and prepare them for the globalized knowledge economy era. In the College of Medical Technology, our students will develop their enthusiasm for humanity, admiration for life and vocational ethics. The ultimate goal is to achieve an outstanding discipline that can advance humanity's health and quality of life in a physically, intellectually, and spiritually integrated way.

In view of the serious shortage of clinical psychologists in the country, especially in Central Taiwan, our school planned to establish the Department of Psychology when it was restructured into a university. This department was founded in the 1991 academic year. At that time, the department was named the Department of Psychology (Clinical Psychology Group). The teaching objective was: "In order to equip students with knowledge of basic psychology and clinical and counseling psychology, and apply these The ability of knowledge."

The Occupational Therapy (OT) program was established in 1988 as a division of the School of Rehabilitation Medicine , and the OT division became an independent school in 2000. The O.T. program is a 4-year entry-level educational program that offers a Bachelor of Science degree to the students. We enroll about fifty new students per year.

Core courses include Nursing Theory, Research Methodology, Advanced Applied Biostatistics. Professional course: Health Assessment for Advanced Practice Nursing, Transcultural Nursing I,Transcultural Nursing II, Transcultural Nursing Field Experience; Elective courses; and thesis.

The all-English Ph.D. program in Cognitive Sciences (CS) at National Chung Cheng University (CCU) is a new doctoral program, formally established in 2013, created by the joint efforts among faculty members of Center for Research in Cognitive Sciences, Department of Psychology, Graduate Institute of Linguistics, Department of Philosophy, Graduate Institute of Education, Department of Electrical Engineering, and Department of Computer Science and Information Engineering.

Our new curriculum intends to evolve as areas of medical knowledge advance. It is built to be both foundational and integrative, aims to offer knowledge beyond just memorizing information, encourages intellectual curiosity, enhances students’ competence in reflection and analysis, encourages scholarship and independence of thought, and develops an appreciation for humanity and a profound sense of the rewards of learning.

Each department has professional laboratories and complete fine experiment instruments and the first basic medical education pavilion so that the students can acquire advanced and integrated medical knowledge in practical teaching and learning environments.

Graduates can take recommendation examinations and/or joint enrolled distributions of nursing category by means of “The United Entrance Exams for Two-year Divisions of Senior College”, or they can continue to study into two-year divisions of senior college, university, or research institutes of medical nursing and related departments of organism either in or out of the country.

The curriculum is particularly designed in producing partnership between educational and business organization, so that job opportunities are always available to our under- and post-graduates.

Department of Public Health was established in 1990 as an unit of Preventive Medicine. It began a M.S. program in 2005.The mission is to educate and disseminate knowledge with the aim of preventing disease and promoting the health of populations in .

National Taipei University of Nursing and Health Sciences (NTUNHS) is known for having the best degree programs in nursing and healthcare education in Taiwan and Asia. NTUNHS has a total of 3 colleges (the College of Nursing, the College of Health Technology, and the College of Human Development and Health) including 12 departments, 12 graduate schools, and The General Education Center.
