10 Master Programmes in Czech Republic for 2024

The curriculum of the study programme Dentistry is identical to the one pursued by Czech medical students, apart from being taught in English. It conforms to the European Union standards.

This Master's study program is a continuation of the bachelor study program “Energetics and Environments”. Nevertheless, graduates of other technical programs and fields, both from VŠB-TUO and other universities, also apply for this program.

The study program meets the requirements of Directive 2005/36 / EC of the European Parliament and of the Council of 7 September 2005 on the recognition of professional qualifications (this act has been changed, current consolidated version: 24/04/2020), which apply to regulated profession "veterinarian". The Master's degree program in Veterinary Hygiene and Ecology corresponds to the current state and level of science and the needs of practice in Europe. The study contains theoretical knowledge and enables the acquisition of the necessary practical skills needed for the performance of the profession, including employment in creative activities, and also prepares students for study in a doctoral study program.

The 6-year curriculum leads to the Master degree MUDr. - "Medicinae Universae Doctor" = Doctor of General Medicine. To the effect of the second sentence of Article 3 Subsection 1 of the Code of Admissions Procedure for applicants for studies at Charles University, this is a study program without specialization.

The Faculty of Medicine in Pilsen offers courses in Dentistry (five years) in both Czech and in English languages. For medical students, the first two years of study are devoted to theoretical disciplines, such as Anatomy, Histology, Embryology, Biophysics, Biochemistry, and Physiology. During the third and fourth years, pre-clinical subjects, such as Pathological Anatomy, Pathological Physiology, Microbiology, Immunology, and Pharmacology are studied. Bedside teaching is also introduced in the third year. The last two years of study are fully devoted to clinical subjects. For students of Dentistry, the first two years of study are devoted to theoretical disciplines and pre-clinical Dentistry, the third, fourth, and fifth years are devoted to clinical stomatology. The academic years for theoretical disciplines and pre-clinical subjects are organized into winter and summer semesters. Each semester consists of a teaching period followed by an examination period. The clinical courses are organized in a block system. This study field is without any specialization.

The Dentistry 5-year program leads to the Master degree MDDr. - "Medicinae Dentium Doctor" = Doctor of Dental Medicine. To the effect of the second sentence of Article 3 Subsection 1 of the Code of Admissions Procedure for applicants for studies at Charles University, this is a study program without specialization.

Study branch Biomedical Engineer prepares, as part of a study program Biomedical and Clinical Technology, mainly practically oriented graduates as well as future students of the follow-up doctoral study programs at FBME CTU but also at other universities in the Czech Republic and abroad.
