Program Outcome
The Degree in Biochemistry, with a duration of 3 years, was adapted to the requirements of the Bologna model and is structured in such a way as to provide the scientific bases necessary to enter a professional career in the area of Biochemistry or similar. The curricular structure emphasizes experimental work, involving the use of scientific equipment and students' contact with ongoing research at NOVA School of Science and Technology | FCT NOVA.
The specific objectives of this Degree are:
- Provide basic scientific training in Natural and Exact Sciences, in interaction with Biochemistry, which allows the physical and chemical understanding of the processes involved in Life;
- Prepare graduates for future integration into the global, national or international job market;
- Stimulate the exchange of students with European Universities;
- Provide solid and integrated training in Biochemistry, which can be complemented with a second cycle in various areas of specialization.
