Graduates of this program will be prepared to coordinate the resources of the workplace and the community in order to meet the needs of clients. It also helps graduates acquire the knowledge, skills, abilities, and behaviors needed as a psychologist.
Students will be trained in four aspects: Theoretical, Research, Industry-Based Project, and Internship Training.
Programme Entry Requirements
You must meet the following requirements in order to be considered for entry to the UNITAR Bachelor's Programme:
Matriculation, Foundation or its equivalent with a minimum CGPA 2.00; OR
Sijil Tinggi Persekolahan Malaysia (STPM) or its equivalent with a minimum of 2 full passes with GP 2.00; OR
Diploma or its equivalent with minimum CGPA 2.00; (Note: All the above qualifications need to be supported with at least credits in Mathematics and Science and a pass in English at SPM level); OR
Diploma in Psychology with minimum CGPA 2.00; OR other relevant or equivalent qualification(s), experience(s), and requirement(s) accepted by the Higher Education Provider (HEP) Senate/competent authority in Malaysia.

Entry requirements for admission into the Bachelor’s program (Level 6, MQF) through APEL (A) as approved by the Ministry of Higher Education (MOHE); The candidate must be a Malaysian citizen, 21 years old in the year of application; have relevant work experiences / prior experiential learning; and the candidate must pass the APEL Assessment.
International students must pass TOEFL with a minimum score of 500 points or score 5.0 in IELTS or its equivalent. Should the student not meet these requirements, the university will offer courses in ‘English Language Proficiency’ to ensure the student’s language proficiency is adequate for the program. This exercise will be organized through a rigorous internal assessment process.
Malaysian students who enrol in UNITAR Bachelor programs must fulfil the following English proficiency requirements:
Students who have a distinction in the English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are not required to take additional English courses.
Students who have credit in the English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take additional English courses. (Refer to the table below for placement purposes.)
Students who do not have a credit in the English Language at the SPM/SPMV level are required to take the English Enhancement Programme before registering for their Faculty courses. (An internal assessment could be arranged with the HOD Language and General Studies.)
Students from a different institution are required to apply for exemption if they studied any English courses. (Students are encouraged to attach the syllabus of the courses they have taken in the previous institution.)
